We take our commitment to the environment and efforts to minimize any negative impact our business has on planet Earth very seriously.

Your email service and this web site is powered by 100% renewable energy - a solar and wind mix.  

Due to our location, while we couldn't install solar panels or construct a few wind turbines in the car park, so we utilized green energy certificates. After an audit we calculated the electricity usage of our facilities, then acquired the necessary green energy tags. By not having to concern ourselves with the actual generation of renewable energy, it allows us focus more on our services.

By purchasing the green certificates (90% wind/10% solar), the electricity generated by these sources isn't pumped directly into our operations. We continue to pay all our bills to our current electricity providers - but for every kilowatt value of green energy tags purchased, a kilowatt of earth-friendly electricity is routed into the grid. 

As an added aspect of our environmental contributions, ThinkHost also sponsors a number of environmental related online projects.

All our team clients "telecommute" - i.e. working from home offices. This means that thousands of gallons of fuel are saved annually that otherwise would have been consumed in commuting to a traditional work environment. ThinkHost's method of documentation also means that we have very little in the way of paper archives; business information is stored electronically. We encourage the use of notebook computers amongst our staff as a means of conserving electricity.
